Fraudulent Charges on Your Credit / Bank Card Statement?
Nov 01, 2009
We have received a number of calls concerning the online purchase of an anti-virus software. Unfortunately, the anti-virus software you bought was actually a scam/identity theft and HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH OUR FIRM. Again, despite the notes that may appear on your billing statement, this fraud has NOTHING TO DO WITH OUR FIRM!
We recommend you immediately:
A) Call your bank and contest the charges
B) Ask for your card to be canceled and a new one issued
C) Cease using your computer until the malware is properly removed
